Rebecca Thuss

Rebecca Thuss is an award winning photo-stylist, a creative director, wedding designer and crafter. She delights in throwing parties, has a passion for packaging, a weakness for fanciful candy and confections, and an infatuation with vintage paper items. Currently Rebecca and her husband Patrick Farrell are partners in a multidisciplinary photography and graphic design firm—ThussFarrell. In addition to still life, lifestyle, travel, and portrait photography, the firm offers graphic and web design, branding and identity design, and creative direction.

As a dedicated ten year veteran of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia from 1996-2006, Rebecca held seven titles, was made an AVP in 2001, and became Style Director of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine in 2003. Before leaving in 2006 she was Editor and Style Director of the premier issue of Blueprint the new Martha Stewart Living lifestyle publication.

For nine years Rebecca's contributions were instrumental in defining the creative vision of Martha Stewart Weddings. During her tenure it became widely recognized as one of the most popular wedding magazines in a highly competitive marketplace. Rebecca has received six Society of Publication Designers (SPD) Merit Awards for her styling work. While under her style direction Martha Stewart Weddings won the prestigious American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) General Excellence Award in 2005. As Style Director of Weddings, Rebecca oversaw idea generation, editorial content, and the style direction of the magazine, while also developing a team of talented stylists to achieve the magazine's creative goals. She has created and styled editorial stories on every wedding-related topic, including fashion, décor, cakes, favors, stationery, and flowers. Rebecca had a featured column in Weddings entitled "It's all about…" that highlighted her unique ideas and favorite sources. She has designed and created ideas for more than 50 events including the weddings of Annette Roque & Matt Lauer, Lara Spencer & David Haffenreffer, Michelle Levinson & Devon Fagel, and Susan Hable & Peter Smith.

Rebecca has also made television appearances on MSLO's former daily television program Martha Stewart Living, the Fine Living Network's Survival Guide series on wedding ideas, and the Style Network show Martha Stewart Living: Things We've Learned About Love.
